Context
Restaurants in the Philippines juggle separate tools for orders, tables, payments and reservations. Staff switch screens, service slows, owners lose visibility. Dinecta puts QR ordering, table management, GCash/Maya payments, reservations and a branded site in one place, built for launch in Siargao.
What I built
- QR-code ordering with a live kitchen and table view.
- Table management and reservations backed by PostgreSQL with concurrency-safe status changes.
- GCash and Maya payment integration, analytics, and a marketing site with a self-serve onboarding flow.
Architecture
A single Next.js application with server components for the operator views and a lean client for the guest ordering flow, so a phone on café Wi-Fi stays fast. Money and state changes happen in the database with constraints, not in the browser.
Outcome
Live at dinecta.com and in pilot with local venues. Designed by someone who has run two cafés, which shows in the defaults: fewer screens, faster service, clear numbers for the owner.
